Barbara Lino

Architect, researcher and lecturer of Urban Planning at the University of Palermo, Department of Architecture since 2014. She is architect, urban designer and planner since 2004 and a PhD Architect since 2008. Her research and design activity focuses on the analysis of contemporary territorial and urban transformations, suburbs regeneration and local development strategies.

Annalisa Contato

Architect, PhD, Master in Enhancement and management of minor historic centres, Researcher of Urban and Regional Planning at the Department of Architecture of the University of Palermo. Her research interests concern the development and transformation of territorial configurations following the dynamics of globalization, focusing on the theme of polycentrism and city networks. Her research also deepened the themes of Inner Areas and local development.

Researcher in Sociology of Law, Deviance and Social Change at the University of Palermo. Currently teaches Analysis of public policies and Migration, vulnerability, criminalization. He was academic visiting at the University of Oxford and visiting professor at the University of Bethlehem. His publications deal primarily with topics related to local development processes, criminal organizations, public policies and the triangulation of data and techniques both quantitative and qualitative for social research.

Researcher in Social Statistics at the University of Palermo. He was Visiting Researcher at the Regional Economic Application Laboratory (REAL) of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research interests concern quantitative methods for social sciences, survey methodology and services evaluation. His publications deal with issues related to tourism statistics, the use of GIS in social sciences and healthcare services evaluation.

Phd student at Università di Palermo, with a research project in Cultural Geography about development policies for the Italian inner areas, focusing on the tourism-based politics and rhetoric of rurality. She has participated to the independent research project on the earthquake of 2016 within the collective Emidio di Treviri. Collaborator for Urban Photo Hunts.
